>I don't really know anyone who's against the legalization of marijuana.
i've seen it ruin the lives of plenty of people

i wouldn't support legalization unless it was preceded by a substantial education campaign and a ban on depictions in the media glamorizing it as a lifestyle
SMOK WEEB EVERYDYY

I wonder if I'm missing out for not getting baked, I just don't see the appeal in drugs. To combat pain yeah.
yeah. it's a fun party drug but lifestyle pot smokers are the biggest losers. it has so many negative effects on the mind and body that i don't know if it's worth it even if you're in pain. most potheads are chronic users, so they don't notice.

also, most potheads are neck deep in cope too. look at this thread, where people are telling each other that all doctors (they know) support legalization. meanwhile in reality, half of doctors want it banned from use of ANY sort, even with medical prescription.

@fluffy @Sighs @Mr_NutterButter heavy recreational use is pretty lame, it makes you retarded if you do it too much and i've been around enough people who have done it too much to know.

but like alcohol, just drinking a little bit every once in a while to mellow out, ease some stress or something can be nice. everything in moderation. some people just really don't know when to stop and make it their lifestyle... that goes for weed, alcohol, porn, fuck even things like exercising or eating fruit can be bad for you if you do it too much or if you do it the wrong way.

as far as medicinal use goes, though, yeah i think it should definitely be used when possible because it's way easier on your system than prescription drugs are. for some people the latter will unfortunately be necessary, but if you can get away with some medicinal marijuana then why the hell not?

that study is interesting though because it asks a lot of different doctors in different fields and different states, even ones that ban the use of it. so to get a number like 56% saying it should be legalized federally is actually pretty good imo. 82% of cancer-related doctors were in agreeance and that's pretty remarkable.
