Starfield is shaping up to be a pretty insane game. I have to keep telling myself to not get excited about it, but so much seems to be improved and the modding potential is off the charts.

Yeah... I am seriously at a lost here, because it seriously felt, like Fallout 4 had 1/10th of content of the Skyrim.

And from the way starfield is described so far, I am not sure, if they want to make it into an RPG, or a no Mans sky clone of a sort.

@KonataWagner1066 @LukeAlmighty fallout 4 has a voiced protagonist, Skyrim doesn't. Starfield doesn't either. More voice lines doesn't necessarily equal more quests, but more detail. I'm thinking it'll be closer to morrowind but actually voiced instead of a lot of text you have to read.

As far as rpg vs no man's sky, it's pretty clear to me that it is the former. No man's sky is much more of an open exploration space sim with a story that takes a background role. Starfield is inspired by that kind of game, but also by an actual TTRPG and it has plenty of rpg elements that have been missing from Bethesda games for a long time, like player character backgrounds.

I doubt we will see intense stuff like land terraforming, or as much biodiversity as there is in no man's sky. The focus of the game is different.

The persuasion system seems really cool, instead of it being one stat check it's more of a minigame with multiple checks depending on what you say, which is how a TTRPG would typically work too.

@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty @beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty I'd momentarily forgotten about the voiced vs not voiced protagonist lol. I guess that's the difference. For me, Skyrim is the only Bethesda game I really liked a lot, so I'm not keeping up with Starfield or Elder Scrolls 6 news
@KonataWagner1066 @beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty I can't self insert unless the charcter is mute please understand
@LukeAlmighty @beardalaxy @Barry @beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty Doesn't make too much of a difference to me. If a company decides to have a voiced protagonist though, I'd heavily prefer nothing at all over bad voice acting

@KonataWagner1066 @LukeAlmighty @Barry this is why my game has a toggle for voices haha, just in case people find them annoying.
