@matana there's a difference between western theming and just being made to appease a western, woke audience. maybe it's impossible for the former to ever happen again, but i'm still saying that's what made the original silent hill games so good in the first place. it's also what made Metal Gear Solid good imo, especially MGR. platinum is actually still good at this kind of "western game made by a japanese dev" kind of feeling imo, i'm looking forward to seeing what bayonetta 3 is like considering they didn't cave to censorship stuff and just gave the game a censored mode instead (that kind of makes fun of the people playing it lol, it's called "naive angel" mode).

regardless, i still think whatever this new game is deserves a new IP because it looks entirely different from silent hill.
