@matana @applejack @histoire i know that there are people out there with epilepsy that have gone on keto and had quite a bit of success with their seizures being toned down, but imo there are better ways of just losing weight or whatever than going on keto.
i'm also worried that if i cut out carbs my seizures would get worse, considering that changing the way i ate originally helped my seizures a lot (eating smaller meals and snacks throughout the day instead of 2 or 3 large ones).
the appendix is theorized to still have some sort of function (that being holding good bacteria), but people that don't have it don't really have any problems that a normal person would so we don't exactly know if it does anything at all.
also just a funny note somewhat relating to that is that my conspiracy theorist coworker the other day was trying to tell us that the more parasites you have in your body the more likely you are to be gay, and when people take ivermectin they stop being gay because it kills parasites xD
@beardalaxy @matana @histoire Keto 100% helps with weightloss
Just the mechanism with insulin alone. High amounts of sugar make you resistant to insulin so you have a harder time burning energy and it blocks the feeling of fullness
You genuinely feel fuller eating a fatty steak instead of something carby. When people were given soda vs. water before eating a meal the people who had sugar ate noticeably more than those that only had water, even though they had more calories
