@BlinkRape @LukeAlmighty i like concerts because everyone is there to watch a band they like, sing along to the music, and perhaps mosh a little bit. a rave or going to a club is different though, like so many people are there just to get fucked up and everyone dresses like a whore. the culture is just retarded. music festivals get into this territory too, and that's one reason i liked warped tour so much because it was a lot more focused and just a one-day thing rather than some massive 3-day extravaganza where at least 70% of the performing acts you've never even heard of so your main reason for going there is really just to "have a good time," i.e. drink way too much and tell people how cool it was that you threw up all over the place on the car ride home or something.

going to a bar without a show going on (or maybe like a world cup game or something) is just paying way more money than it's worth for alcohol when you could just go to the liquor store, grab an entire bottle, and go home and play board games or something. idk, i just don't get it. my point is that the main factor shouldn't be the alcohol, like if you're going to a bar it should be for some other reason and you just get alcohol while you're there.

it's not like you have to be inebriated all the time to have fun. those kind of people start to get on my nerves.
