Propaganda poster in WW1. Basically telling the American citizen what would happen if they stayed neutral. Looks like "German Aggresion" has been a good propaganda since a long time ago.

@beardalaxy yeah why would they do that? I think most Americans would accept German rule since they're related by blood, unlike the Injuns. I also don't know why they made Japonica as well since this is a map from WW1.

Nearly a third of people in America spoke German at that time too. It would have likely been a second national language if WW1/2 hadn't shamed Germans into no longer speaking it.

@beardalaxy @djsumdog my friend said that Midwest were pretty much new Prussia since a lot of Germans settled down there in the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Poked around, it was on the cover of Life magazine. February 1916. I strayed slightly off course, spotting the "legendary" photo of an American nurse being kissed by an American sailor. Except she wasn't a nurse, she was a dental assistant working in NY. And (((Greta Zimmer))) also was a yenta refugee. The "totally spontaneous" photograph was also captured by (((Alfred Eisenstaedt))).
