@matana i use hekate's USB tool to transfer mods over and even update hekate and atmosphere. then i use goldleaf to install games directly over PC to the SD card's emunand.

i know you can also place games on an SD card and then install them from there, but there's not too much of a reason to do that. homebrew wouldn't require an extra step of putting the file on the SD card first and then installing it if it can just install directly from USB anyway. that was the really old way of doing it, and there is actually a tool that lets you split your NSP beforehand so that you can actually copy it over to the drive.

what i think this guy might be thinking is that when you connect over USB, at least in goldleaf, it does open up a windows prompt that asks what you want to install. so you can click on a 14GB NSP or whatever. maybe he thinks that it transfers over to his SD card first and then installs, rather than just installing to the SD card on the spot.
