I want to be treated like a normal person as much as possible and I hate when people try to accommodate me or coddle me. I don't even tell people I have epilepsy until it happens to come up. I don't want to use it as an excuse.

My cousin is heavily autistic and his parents have always used it as an excuse for his behavior instead of actually working on it. 100% enabling. I fully believe he wouldn't be as crazy autistic as he is if his parents actually gave a damn instead of parading his disability around like it was some kind of golden ticket for him and often them, by extension, to do whatever they want.
