@LukeAlmighty it looks like she had it pretty much square in the dude's back when she fired

@LukeAlmighty that's not really how hollow points work. They spread on impact. They're used for self defense and hunting. FMJ goes straight through stuff and is used for war and practice. If you have ever seen those "how many X does it take to stop a bullet" they're probably using FMJ.

She put the perp's body in between her and the other cop to minimize the chance of hitting the cop. If she did it at a distance there would be a smaller target with a higher chance of moving around since they were in a scuffle.

@beardalaxy
I know about the technology of hollow points, but I would not trust it this much :D

@LukeAlmighty I mean, what would you have done differently in this scenario?

@beardalaxy
1) I'm not a cop
2) This was one of the "omg, This was not a teser? Tee hee, I guess the nig is dead now" situation, so saying "I would actually use taser" or "I would aim the gun differently" are both pointless.

@LukeAlmighty yes you're not a cop so you don't know what to do in this situation xD they run drills for this kind of stuff all the time and I know because I've done the drills with friends in training xD it gets really specific, there's basically a whole flowchart for like every conceivable situation.

A taser comes with its downsides too. It's more of a heavy deterrent than anything else, but if someone is already being violent and has someone in a compromising position, you fire. With a gun. Because if the taser doesn't work for some reason in this scenario, one of these cops is probably fucked.
