Oh, I bid farewell to the port and the land

And I paddle away from the legal and bland

To search for my long ago forgotten games

To search for the place I hear all product names

TL;DR - The optional PSN account for Ghost of Tsushima PC port (PSN is needed only for multiplayer) is now a mandatory PSN account if you want to actually buy it, as the game is removed from regions PSN is not available.

@beardalaxy I don't think they have a choice.
They barely have any games, console's were never profitable to sell as far as I know, so what else do they have?

User data.

@coded_artist @beardalaxy Just you wait. In couple years playing Sony games online on PC also requires paid PSN account! This is just them laying the groundwork for it.

@susie @coded_artist yeah not a doubt in my mind about that. they're definitely going to try roping the PC crowd into paying to play PS games online. or perhaps playing them at all, as a way to combat piracy.

@susie @coded_artist apparently, despite the PSN requirement being lifted, they still de-listed Helldivers 2 in 177 countries where PSN isn't in service.

@coded_artist @susie or they'll tie extra rewards to it or something like that. "link your psn account today and get free premium currency!" or whatever.

@beardalaxy @susie @coded_artist It will be available everywhere once the inevitable crack is released, unless some Denuvo-like programming is applied to the PSN requirement.
