@susie I heard Virtua Fighter used to be really tough because of its adaptive AI. Dead or Alive was like that too ![]()
@susie @RehnSturm256 Never played VF but I really like DoA. The titties made me want to play the game in the first place, but I actually really enjoy the combat too. It's the only fighter besides Soul Calibur I actually really get into. Haven't played DoA6 so I don't know how that fares, but DoA5 was awesome.
The major downside to DoA is that they really monetize the fuck out of it with all their character costumes. There are like 5 season passes for 5 if I recall correctly lol.
@susie @RehnSturm256 i like it when a lot of shit happens lmao xD i can understand why that's not the case for a lot of people though.
i didn't like the reversal edge stuff in soul calibur 6 originally, but once i played through the story and learned more about the mechanics of it the whole thing made a lot more sense to me. it's pretty fun.
I also liked Soul Calibur II the most out of those. After that it started to get silly with the soul edge/reversal edge bullshit. I just want my fighters to be relatively realistic.
I might give DoA another chance someday, but it really feels like a ADHD cousin to VF. So much shit happening all the time versus trying to read the opponent and act accordingly.
