no amount of cope or excuses can vindicate the existence of such an out of place character
even if he gets mercd a few hours into the game(which seems to not happen according to reviewers) why would metroid ever need such a type of joke?
metroid is not the game where you put marvel tier humor no matter your reason
dude, it's okay to not have to defend everything nintendo does, no one is forcing you to play devils advocate, this is fucking trash and a stain on metroid through and through don't try to defend it because no matter how good your intentions are you're just doing more harm to the ip than actually helping
