It really is in buttfuck nowhere, on a highway, 2 miles from the nearest town.
If you don't have a car, you can't live there.
And Iowa does have tornadoes.
The real issue here is work.
Iowa has corn fields, and pig farms.
It may be in your price range now, but can you find a job that pays the same in butt-fuck nowhere?
Boomers just assume you can get a job at Stinky's Bar, that pays for a 95K house.
