it's interesting, from what i've observed women gamers are usually either into the most surface level, hyper popular games possible... or they are into shit i didn't even know existed. there's no middle ground. there are no women playing AA or indie games. it's either league of legends and overwatch, or a ps1 fmv game that somehow had online connectivity if you brought your memory card to an arcade in japan.

I read a thing from one of the developers who said how an entire section was referencing csa and their own experiences(?) with it when younger. I'd link the post but my xitter is locked out for me. 
Anyway, women loooove sexual abuse stories. They love sexual abuse! 😌 naw jk 
for real though, I could see some liking that kind of deeper and darker theming put into a game, and to play as a girl fighting back against it could be empowering for them.

That also means, that I've personally met 300% of the total playerbase.
