@riz @coded_artistThe US invasion of Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with oil.
It made very few, already rich people more rich.
Supposedly for the benefit of Israel, but I can't say for certain. It's probably true though. I do know that it wasn't for oil, wasn't for WMDs, and wasn't for the benefit of Iraqi people.
Wars make money for the military industrial complex. The MIC contributes to politicians and top military brass in the form of legal and illegal bribes.
Going to war and staying at war benefit the MIC. The MIC pays well to politicians and military leadership that supports endless wars.
Occupying Iraq and Afghanistan for nearly 20 years did nothing to benefit the vast majority of Americans.
What I'm saying is that going to war for conquest, acquiring new lands, and increasing resources for your country > going to war for 2 decades and having nothing tangible in return.
Both Iraq and Afghanistan are worse than before we invaded.
He invaded Poland, which was part of Germany, but was given up in the Treaty of Versailles.
Then the British were staging to invade Sweden, so Germany took Denmark and Norway so that the Bri'ish couldn't launch an attack from those countries.
Alright, looking into it, I guess Uncle Adolf wasn't very isolationist. Or maybe he was... They weren't invading these other counties to meddle in their affairs, the Germans were taking those countries to protect Germany.
I would support the US invading Mexico if we were taking Mexico to become a US territory and keeping their resources.
I would not support the US invading New Zealand or some other crazy place that serves no purpose, just to do a "regime change" or Operation Zealand Freedom, and it benefit the people in the US in no way whatsoever.
