I get that this is clickbait (which is why I'm not clicking on it), but the things we fight in DD are definitely worse then anything the assholes we hire to go slaughter them could manage to be.

@supersid333 Yet another example of bug-posting.
What is it with some people and identifying with evil?

@coded_artist No idea, didn't bother clicking in to see how he was gonna spend 40 minutes convincing me that the PC, the inheritor of the ancestor's manor and the one man truly trying to undo the invasion by entities beyond human comprehension summoned undoing the fabric of reality, is somehow the real bad guy.

Even if we're talking about the recruitable units, which can include cut throats, channelers of unholy cursed magic, hardened zealots, and the guy cursed to turn into a fucking monster, any crimes they may have committed in the past would undoubtably still pale in comparison to what unholy tide of evil seeps out of the Darkest Dungeon.
@supersid333 @coded_artist From what I remember. Most, if not all characters are generally good people, with some dark past. But most of it is not even their fault, and they deeply regret it, and their personal quests involve seeking atonement or acceptance of what happened to them.
They can only be seen as evil, from some bug lover perspective. "Its bigoted to not be eaten by space bugs!". Or a troglodyte "stealing supplies from abandoned house is a deadly sin! just because he turned into cannibalistic fire breathing monster, screaming about burning everyone alive, and dancing on a pile of baby corpses, he just killed, does not mean you have the right to kill him! due process, you Nazi!"
Or maybe they referring to the fact that your ancestors were involved in cult activities, and it makes you guilty by association. Which is funny, because "player" considers it his duty to repair the damage caused by his people.
@Marakus @supersid333 @coded_artist The character you play isn't the hirelings who do the fighting, you play the aristocratic feudal lord who just inherited the estate. You hire an endless stream of lower class mercenaries to dive into the ruins of your estate to reclaim the land and extract treasures and resources that mostly go into your pocket. While doing this they die, get injured, go insane, get sick, and get curses. For not much in compensation. Then you get to the final area, the darkest dungeon, and clear it at great cost (to your hirelings). PLOT TWIMST: Your ancestor did the exact same thing as you just did, for the same reasons, and the same result. The cycle then repeats itself.
Leftoids identify with underdogs a lot. For them, if someone is actively hated, persecuted and slaughtered for being an inhuman freak that preys on the weak and is generally a piece of shit, that's being an underdog for a libtard.

Kind of why a good bunch of them look like dysgenic freaks
They express support for other groups at the EXPENSE of their own so as to obtain the benefits from supporting those outgroups. They don't actually believe their own bullshit.
@VirginCrusader @Morghur @coded_artist I've said it before, but they are people without standards. They will say whatever it is they think will get them ahead in the given moment. The only reason they even bother putting up the illusion of holding a moral compass is because adhering to double standards looks slightly less bad then openly not having them at all.
