@hideki whoa, you absolutely nailed the colors, did you do anything special in the render? Have you seen https://blendernpr.org/ ?
@hideki I shouldn’t say the colors, the whole scene is spot on. From the thumbnail I thought it was a watercolor background, and it holds up at full size (though there are some clues it’s 3d)
@ademan not really anything special. all materials are standard "diffuse" materials (not principled) with some noise texture as multiplier to add more detail to the floor for example.
And then used a very bright sun lamp (like 50 or so). Also the world light is adjusted to a light gray/bluish color for the blue tone of the shadows. The clouds are procedural too, there are ways to get more "coudier" clouds but it takes more time.
@ademan btw thanks for the url gonna check it. Of course not photorealistic renders are the most challeging ons because there are so many ways of doing the same thing and it requires a lot of understanding of style to pull them succesfully.
