@Inginsub yeah i think lately he got a bit pretentious, and i unfollowed him when he started trying to appeal to NFT bros.

@hideki try watching his newest donut tutorial - he has made 15 hour long series, jamming everything into the simplest project, and the result looks worse than the original from like 5 years ago

@Inginsub i can't really think on a reason why he made this series again but just to milk a quick buck out of the new blender version.

he didn't even go into making the coffee cup, and stuff that he complained about in the previous tutorial (like the sprinkles intersecting each other) and that is solved in this version is still there.

As far as i have seen, the changes between version 2.8 and version 3, interface wise, are not that big to guarantee an "updating" of these tutorials, but even Grant Abitt released an update of his beginner tutorial series for this version, unless i'm missing something.

@hideki there’s nothing in 3.0 aside from the new cycles engine and cosmetic changes.
All his tutorials are just “buy this asset pack” now, and have been for a couple of years. I think he is either afraid of trying new things, or isn’t as interested in 3D modeling as he used to be.

@Inginsub @hideki when did geometry nodes come around?

@ademan @hideki in 2.9 (2.92, I think), almost a year ago, and the unstable version was available before that
