@matrix The Matrix probably always was a transgender allegory to some degree. The creators intended Switch (the short haired female with white hair) to be male in real life but a female in the Matrix representing their "true inner self". The creators were involved in weird tranny shit since the 90's—they only "officially" came out after the first film.

@Vivernu
It may feature a some transgender themes or references but allegory it isn't to any degree

@matrix @Vivernu it doesn't even have any themes or references to transgender. it is loaded with references to the bible.
@Moon @matrix @Vivernu its like the blue pill and the red pill thing normies and radicals see it has a alt right thing and its not really an alt right thing its basically telling people do you want to live in a make believe,believe in lies or fake news. or do you want to live in reality and seek truth.
@1iceloops123 @Moon @Vivernu @matrix Sure, and that can mean a lot of different things to different people. It can be used for pretty much anything outside of social norms and the difference between what you see as truth and what's accepted by society.
@ArdanianRight @Moon @Vivernu @matrix its like with pizzia gate thought like half of it isn't true but jeff owning a island was true and all that mess. yet i know normies and radical people will think i'm insane. yet i know it happens because its on the news now but took me it was a rumor.
@matrix @Vivernu There's a difference between piece of a work that explores the natural duality that might exist in some and co-opting an existing work to fit a hot new narrative
@Vivernu @matrix show me any clip of that character presenting as anything but a female with short hair. i saw that movie and would have definitely remembered that this character was a tranny.

pretty sure this is just a ham fisted to retroactively insert their new tranny agenda into their past works

probably cause once you get on HRT your brain becomes so retarded (also probably psych meds) that people can't come up with any new shit.

so it's "let's just say this thing we did was all about tranny stuff"

gay
@meowski @matrix Okay dude I'm not saying in the film Switch is canonically transgender in its final iteration. I'm saying it was planned for Switch to be "transgender" in the sense their real self was male but their "avatar" in the Matrix was to be female with the obvious implication being that the character's "true self" was female as an obvious transgender analogy. At some point this was changed due to executive meddling.

My point is this obviously implies intent on the part of the creators and hints they were already down the transgender rabbit hole when they were working on the first film.

@Vivernu @meowski @matrix
Come on. It would be dumb to not give you the entire point for the character of switch. Since her brain saw her as a different gender, I din't see any point in debating that one character.

That being said,l the rest of this re-interpreting of matrix is a pure 'red door' bullshit I heard many times before and am bored to death from already.

@LukeAlmighty @meowski @matrix I think there was enough of an implied mentality there that saying the Matrix had an aspect of transgender allegory isn't really inaccurate.
@Vivernu @matrix i'm not seeing it. just cause a woman has short hair that doesn't make her a tranny
@meowski @matrix Nigga it's CONFIRMED behind-the-scenes info that Switch was intended to be a trans allegory. It's not speculation. I even read it last year before the recent news.

https://entertainment.ie/cinema/movie-news/the-first-matrix-was-supposed-to-have-a-trans-character-234723/

4 year old article. This specific info isn't a retcon.
@matrix "Thinks it's cool" sounds a lot like "yeah, I don't wanna be dragged into this shit".

@matrix The Matrix being about #transgenderism is retconning on a whole new scale. Of course it had nothing to do with transgenderism, and the Wachowski brothers' later films have been fairly lacklustre for the most part.
