@matrix if this goes to trial you're gonna see a lot of bullshit.

They'll either delay it or try to threaten a jury. They're not gonna want average people to come to the conclusion that he should have shot more pedo rioters.

@zemichi I think he's screwed. In Wisconsin it's illegal for people under 18 to carry a weapon and a felony if they kill anyone with it.

@matrix @zemichi wisconsin doesn't have stand your ground either.

He may want to explore life in south america or the motherland

@matrix @zemichi reikita was talking about this last night, possibly, no, not really. If he had undergone the proper training and had the proper permits him being 17 shouldnt be an issue - only an issue if its found he did anything illegal.

@matrix
>is guilty of a CLass H felony if the person under 18 of age discharges the firearm and the discahrge causes death to himself
>charging a corpse with a felony
Okay.
@zemichi
@matrix why would "the law" have anything to do with a situation of unlawlessness?

Every time these cases come up they always ask the question "did you need to kill a person or could you avoid it?" If you could avoid killing someone then they lock you up no question.

Let's be real here. When shit like CHAZ gets promoted and defended can you really avoid violence? Who cares if he has a gun? He could have a hammer and do the same thing. If the average person thinks that they're not safe from a riot they're not going to consider him guilty.

@zemichi I agree. It was a case of self defense and I hope he walks free. I just don't know the laws to tell if they will charge him with some bullshit.

@matrix
My sane opinion:
If you're going to a riot with a weapon you are definitely intending to use it.

However if you told me to be on a jury about this guy I would say I would ignore every fact about the case and call him not guilty. In fact if probably lie to hide my bias to find him not guilty. Local governments don't get to promote defunding the police and say you can't defend yourself those opinions can't mix.

@zemichi @matrix
He did not behave according to words written on some paper by billionares liviing with private security.

But he IS NOT guilty.

@zemichi @matrix 'use it' could mean 'use it to intimidate would be looters to stay away from this business'. If they want to convict him on 1st degree murder, they'd have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that at least at some point during that night, he was trying to antagonize people into a situation where he could shoot them and claim self defense. Unless there's some unreleased video of him getting in people's faces he's going to walk. Keep in mind that having a gun, even illegally, does not remove his self defense privilege.

See: https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/939/III/48

Kyle had privilege of self protection under 939.48(2)(b), and the group of assailants lost theirs under 939.48(2)(c)
@matrix @zemichi it's not self defense if you travel across state lines with a rifle to specifically be around the people you claim to need defense from
