The bugs are clearly the aggressors so the animosity towards them makes sense.

Maybe if the asteroid hitting Buenos Aires was a conspiracy like 9/11 and the pacifist colony were actually living in harmony with the insects it would be morally grey.

But the insects basically nuke civilian cities and slaughter pacifist colonies. They deserve to be squashed.

@Publius @matrix the movie p much implies that its a falseflag to justify escalation and infinite troops

also kill em all bugs a fuck im from buenas aireas

Does it actually matter who shot first? At some point, an extinction war just is inevitable, so why not go for a win? :blobcatdunno:

@matrix Reading articles about Starship Troopers written by soy drinking journalists who didn't even read the book is a sure fire way to get my blood boiling.

In all seriousness, I think the political system described in the book where participation in democracy requires self sacrifice and service to one's country would be a hell of a lot better than the current crop of republics and democracies. Provided, of course, that all non-citizens are guaranteed basic rights and that anyone who wishes to serve should be able to do so in some capacity.
