There's one thought that terrifies me... what if they haven't managed to gather any physical evidence, besides the audio of Chris-chan admitting to it? It's not like you can call the mom as a witness if she has dementia. What's stopping his lawyer from arguing that he made up the whole thing? Considering how fucked-up Chris-chan is himself, would it be that hard to believe?
@alyx I dunno. He probably could although the easiest is probably arguing that Chris is insane.

If Chris-chan insists on the trans identity thing, I don't think any lawyer would touch an insanity plea with a ten foot pole. Last thing you'd want to do in today's America is publicly say a trans person is insane.
@matrix Before the recent hearing I assumed he was going to do the sensible thing and accept whatever plea bargain he's offered before going to prison for a short amount of time. Now I have somewhat more hope we'll get an amazing show out of this.
