@Mac_CZ
I don't consider "It's just fantasy" a serious answer when you are taking an already existing mythos.
The Norse were and still mostly are white, they would have imagined all the human-like characters as white (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
You have 10 arrows pointing in 1 direction and 1 pointing nowhere and your answer is "The arrows can point anywhere lmao, who cares".
All the depictions of the Bible piss me off for the same reason.
@matrix But Ice giants are not Norse. They're monsters with different looks. And for example Surtr is black for sure.
@matrix Angrboda's kids are giant wolf and giant snake/worm. I've never imagined her as human lookalike at all.
@Mac_CZ
But she looks like a human without any indication that she's not one. Ice giant should be shades of light blue (inhuman), or white, not an African American.
Surtr means black but is related to fire and ash, but I guess that could work.
@matrix Yeah, blue would be nice, or gray like rocks.
@matrix But point is that ice giant can look like anything. Anything somebody imagines is valid.
@Mac_CZ
But then her being an ice giant/being called is completely irrelevant.
@LukeAlmighty @matrix I'm not sure if Budha would be challenge.
@LukeAlmighty @matrix Also not a fighter
@LukeAlmighty @matrix Mohammed was a warrior and had winged horse. That would work nicely.
@Mac_CZ @LukeAlmighty @matrix Christians don't know about most of Jesus' human lifetime. So here is the possibility Jesus can be a good fighter. There should be nothing he can't do. ;)
Mohammed was mere human, but fighter nevertheless. But it is halal to make a film (or even a picture) of him or Alah fighting.
And Budha was supposed to be a soldier in his human youth.
@maxmustermann @LukeAlmighty @matrix @Mac_CZ GoW: Come, fight me Jew!
INRI: Nah, I didn't come to Earth for that.
GoW: Ok, bye.
@shebang @matrix From biological point of view light skin needs less light to produce vitamin D, so it's good in places, where there's not much sunshine, like woods, cloudy places, lots of rain or snow. Dark skin protects against UV, so places with lots of sunshine. Ice plains, where ice giant would live, can have lots of sunshine. And for example polar bears have completely black skin. So I'd say dark skinned Angrboda makes sense.
@matrix ?
