"Feeding yourself is unpaid labor"

Socialists manage to be both evil and braindead at the same time

@matrix I honestly think that Socialists cannot feel anything beyond frustration. How can you be such an inmense retard to measure everything only in monetary terms?
@Morghur @matrix theyre talking to retards who measure everything only in monetary terms
@Morghur @matrix a friend said that the key to being a leftoid is being miserable, and he was so fucking right
We're all friends with Uncle Ted in spirit
@matrix they teach capitalists to think like this actually. it's not as dumb as it sounds to look at your hourly wage and then look at how long it takes to cook and decide if its still worth cooking or ordering out.

there's an amount of wealth where the productivity loss from doing shit you hate (mopping the floor) is worse than hiring a maid

@icedquinn Well Marx did write Das Capital.
Yeah, it's called opportunity cost if I'm not mistaken, except capitalists don't frame it like evil troglodites.
There is cost to running the mess halls and that cost would add up to the cost of the food which depending on your situation could be more than if you didn't work and prepared it yourself. Which would mean you would try to kick in economies of scale to lower the costs, however that would create a gigantic point of failure and also the food would be shit and unhealthy which demoralizes and lowers productivity. He would probably say the messhall should be free but then he's just putting his unpaid labor onto someone else.
There is also opportunity cost in waiting for the communal kitchen to become available.

@matrix i think its supposed to be built in to the apartment complex?

we kinda used to do that. have longhouses where the tribe eats dinners etc.
@matrix leftys don't usually think about how the labor for that kind of shit gets allocated.

i tried to as some kind of debt token. nobody wanted to engage with that debate tho.

i can see people trying to argue for the kitchen as a tech shop / hackerspace scenario where you pay some small rental and can borrow the kitchen knives an an oven for an hour because trying to kit every human on the planet with a full personal oven is expensive as shit.
@matrix it basically came to having public debts divided amongst the people also receiving ubis and it becomes some kind of tradeable good like bill gates has to personally come sweep the streets for two weeks unless he can find someone who is willing to buy the labor off of him.

it gets really fiddly about trying to administrate such a system but i don't see anyone else trying.

@icedquinn I feel like that's just reinventing the wheel (money) but increasing the administrative overhead

@icedquinn Oven is a bad example because it's cheap and useful but it could probably work with kitchen robots and their various attachments etc as you don't usually use those for your daily meal.

@matrix
bruh this guy thinks every building should be a mini gulag...
@matrix >you shouldn't be forced into choosing!

A noted feature of commie countries.

Who doesn't want to eat every. Single. Meal. For the rest of your life, in some brutalist institutional cafeteria?
@matrix @matrix Bugsoy ideas but honestly, if a lot of traditionally male occupations (Factory work for example,) offered a good quality lunch you'd probably see a lot more physical health in sections of the population who would normally wander down the local fast food restaurant. Very common here to see blokes stuffing horrid greasy goyslop in their faces presumably because no one's wives cook for them and it's the easiest solution to get an afternoon meal because food-prep is hard or w/e.

If you make the best option the easiest people take it, after all. Probably not something to expect to pan out great if your management weren't folks promoted up off the floor, though.
@matrix @matrix
Mess hall food sucks ass. I used to eat in one for 5 years and it was acceptable at best and good once a month or two.

Cooking means I can prepare the food I like, the way I want it. I'd rather invest 20-60 minutes into that than eat mess hall slob.
So they want to turn all of society into a giant Golden Coral? Lmao
@RetardedServantOfChrist @matrix What Golden Coral or Ryan's served a decade ago is better than what these goyslop soyblob faggot want to force feed us.
@matrix There should also only be communal toilets in neighbourhoods, people should not have toilets in their homes. Along with the kitchen system the plumbing would be simplified, water consumption would be more controlled and of course communal bonds would be strengthened. There should be a selection of toilet paper, provided via social credits and nfc identity cards on the spot, so good citizens are rewarded. Finally, the waste should be centrally recycled into water to be given to people in the communal mess halls and solid compost being used in communal greenhouses.

@Corfiot Every time I hear the word communal or something akin to it I feel like shooting up a place

@matrix The socialists are secretly capitalists
"Everything should be a paid job" sounds dystopian to me.
@matrix I miss going to the DFAC in the morning so giant communal mess halls doesn't sound that bad to me
@monsterislandcolonizer @matrix Except that was with other people that chose to be in the military. Now imagine substituting that environment where instead it's full of any random dude off the street, the type of people you see at Walmart, etc.
@arcanicanis @matrix Yeah yeah
Entry into the DFAC should be limited to my neighborhood

@matrix
This is the stupidist shit I've heard in a month.

This fucking retard receives constant praise for spouting this mindless drivel

This absolute buffoon wants to force this lifestyle onto other people

This bootlicker thinks everyone who doesn't subscribe to this mentality is a nazi

@kilostere @KonataWagner1066 @matrix its going to mix in your stomach anyway no need for it to be good :ehhhh:
@matrix >no kitchen in your house
> no restaurants
i love when socialists want to destroy a very nice kind of job
I enjoy cooking, and not having a kitchen is an absolute nightmare for me

I don't even like eating out anymore. it's expensive, true, but I just rather do it myself at home. There's a few places I go because I like a particular dish but for the most part I can make anything I want

I don't consider prep cooking or clean up to be unpaid labor, it's part of the process of eating real food and not shunting all the work off onto some other poor bastard
@Jackuu @matrix BEEFYBOY WITH THE BEST OPINION!!!
there's a couple of restaurants i would prefer to cooking myself, but if i can cook myself, I'd rather do that. can eat more by paying less + i get to have some me time
I enjoy the process as well, it's very Zen

I love doing big batches of food, the other night was enchiladas and I had two 9x13 trays full of them

Absolute fucking gut bomb, only took maybe 30 minutes of prep and 45 minutes in the oven, meals for days and totally worth it
@Jackuu @matrix so kino man. i love making fries, fried chicken and eggs, i fucking love the smell!!
Crockpot stews are like PEAK comfy smell imo

Beef Bourguigone, cajun red beans and sausage, beans provencal, split pea soup, chile con carne, none of these are particularly hard and the payoff is totally worth it plus your house smells fantastic
If you have an electrical outlet and a little bit of prep area and even a basic stove you can make everything I mentioned if you can follow a recipe

Crock pots are like $25, $30 tops and totally worth it and last forever
@Jackuu @MischievousTomato @matrix good mindset, for me eating outside is once a month luxury lmao. I save a lot of money with that.
I see all my coworkers getting fast food and shit for lunch, while I'm guilty of getting a trash goyslop hot dog at a local convenience store when the sandwich I usually bring isn't quite enough, it's only $2, but these guys are getting full Burger combos and that shit's like $12 to $15 each and they do it everyday
I guess they don't have a lot of expenses so they don't feel it as bad
A lot of them don't know how to cook either, they're all zoomers. I mentioned putting together pork chops and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner and you'd think I was Gordon Ramsay or some shit

One of my bosses manages to fuck up spaghetti and I didn't think it was possible but apparently people do put dry spaghetti in a 2 quart saucepan with cold water and try to heat it up that way

Occasionally they'll bring in real food but it's always something their mom or girlfriend made
@Jackuu @matrix @MischievousTomato >One of my bosses manages to fuck up spaghetti and I didn't think it was possible but apparently people do put dry spaghetti in a 2 quart saucepan with cold water and try to heat it up that way

:0010: that's just sad.
@matrix This nigger resents having to brush his own teeth, bet you anything.

@matrix This is not even the bottom of the barrel of his worst takes. SDL is infamous even among BreadTubers, and their standards are halfway in the Marianna trench at this point.

@didymus @matrix Patriotic socialism is closer to barracks communism, even if they vaguely pretend to stand for a Volksgemeinschaft of some sorts. BreadTubers like SDL instead are socialites, they’re supporters of the Atlanticist worldwide social-democratic order as it is despite what they pretend to believe in and the only reason i don’t believe he is trying to stir controversy with these posts is because he’s genuinely an imbecile.

@matrix some goychow in the mess hall would hit the spot
@Ghislaine @matrix down it with some quad IPA zog grog too while youre at it
