Lan multiplayer in the same room as your friends is the only multiplayer. Online multiplayer is a pale reflection of that platonic form.

@matrix this does remind be if how messed up current stuff is. The new CoD iirc required a phone number and to make an account with them just to play the game. How would I have known that beforehand? If I had bought it, I would refuse to continue, and they’d have stolen my money

@RehnSturm256 @matrix no such thing. If I open a box and the disc is shattered Im allowed a refund, same as if the manufacturers purposefully made it to where I cant play because I totally dont own a phone.

@RehnSturm256 @matrix nah it doesn't, you need an account but you can use email. A lot of things might ask for your phone for 2 step verification but that's it.
