@matrix @RichardJohnson Look at what happened to Gary Bowser. He settled for $10 million he didn't have, and he's paying it to Nintendo in installments of $25 a month, on top of being sentenced to 3 years in jail.

@galena @matrix @RichardJohnson what happened to Gary was overkill, but Nintendo didn't decide the sentence. Gary also was legitimately providing pirated games. And team xecuter had been bricking consoles for a while. Dude got what was coming to him.
Yuzu on the other hand did nothing wrong. They just don't want to spend the rest of their lives fighting Nintendo.

@teknomunk @matrix @RichardJohnson Reminder that you can have a settlement that forces you to say you paid $2 million but doesn't actually require you to pay $2 million (but if you tell someone you didn't pay $2 million then you have to pay $2 million).
