Google Maps search queries cost more money than using an LLM to analyze them. Wtf?

The Maps API if I recall has absolutely fuckhuge free tier allowances, and the higher price not only amortizes the free users, but causes people who chew through the entire free allowance and start making paid requests, to pay for the free requests they used

@matrix this is the funny thing about all the people getting mad about AI's impact on the environment. Weren't too mad about it before when they were binge watching Netflix.
