@Coomer That's kinda how mine was, although it wasn't a ton of outright rejection, more like endless criticism, and not just constructive criticism but like even name-calling sometimes, and not in a playful or positive way at all, strangely juxtaposed with her telling everyone how great a person I was at the same time.

@realcaseyrollins I'm mostly joking, but it's a little naive waiting for marriage nowadays. It's really not even the same institution as it was 100 years ago, totally different courtship methods and people typically live the married lifestyle long before actually tying the knot. Just find someone you're comf with.

@Coomer You're 100% right. Personally I'd say an engagement should come within 9 months (or maybe even as little of 6 months) in to dating; if you don't know the person well enough at that point you're probably wasting your time, IMHO
