People think #AllLivesMatter means Black People Don't Matter.
Let that sink in.
@lnxw37a2 Well doesn't BLM "deflect attention" from the human rights of non-blacks? It seems like an appropriate response to me, esp. consider the disdain for whites that can be found among the #BlackLivesMatter camp.
@lnxw37a2
Actually, #BlackLivesMatter * does * detract from more serious issues, and blacks actually are not shot disproportionately more than whites when you factor for how many blacks and whites actually interact with law enforcement.
I'll ask you this: how come nobody cares that a white guy was killed by officers after one put his knee on his neck and back for 13 minutes? Or the white people who are getting mauled by mobs every day for literally no reason? What about the police officers getting assassinated every day now? Or that 19 unarmed whites were killed last year by cops, compared to 9 unarmed blacks? 🤔
@Locksmith @admin @lnxw37a2 LOL I'm sorry man, I'm a free thinker, I don't toe the political line just because Massa Democrat says so. It may be odd to see a black man defending the rights of whites, but that's just because I think their lives matter as much as the lives of black people like me. We should not be treated different or special because of our skin color.
But of course, that is counter-cultural and white supremacist talk. So be it. If striving to achieve #MLK's dream leads me to being painted as a white supremacist, I don't care. In fact, that might be a badge of honor.
P.S. I'm guessing you're being tongue in cheek, but still, this is something that I've been called which is why I'm addressing it in this way.
@Locksmith @admin @lnxw37a2 I think one or two have during my time on the fedi. I've certainly been called alt-right.
@Locksmith @admin @lnxw37a2 Yeah this is true; I get called alt-right more often.
