I'd like to hear y'all's perspectives on this
For those who think Karens are a new phenomenon, could you perhaps reply below as to what you think might be causing this, and what we can do as a society to fix it?
@realcaseyrollins I kept on hearing this term and didn't know what it really meant until I looked it up just now.
From my experience, these women are usually in managerial (usually general or regional) positions. I guess they get their stubborn and rudeness from working these types of jobs while also raising children since most of them appear to be divorced or had children out of wedlock.
I think their rudeness towards low-wage workers comes from them dealing with shitty-employees themselves, so they expect cashiers, janitors, etc. to be the bottom of the barrel. I noticed that they are especially rude to men. I guess they assume that men won't take them seriously especially if they're their bosses/managers.
Honestly, feminism and the destruction of the nuclear family are the problem. We have too many divorces and mothers working full-time managerial jobs.
@Ox That's not true.
@Ox @realcaseyrollins They are white women who call black men like Casey “uncle toms” because they didn’t burn down their local Target.
@realcaseyrollins @Ox You did?
@lumeinshin A negative result of this newfound attention I'm noticing is people beginning to target and harass Karens too, which needs to stop
Yes, I understand that Karens are far from the most important story going on rn. I just found this interesting and was wondering what you guys think about this.
I don't have an opinion either way as to this poll, I just wanna here what you have to say.
