when bao is talking about choosing the bear over the man in the woods i think she's using it as a joke but y'all are way too caught up in just reacting super viscerally to it to take it that way. i'm absolutely certain that there is a problem with male content creators being cretins too, i mean you only have to look to people like mizkif, hasan, vaush, destiny, etc. to understand that. what about the dude who ran that one vtuber agency that was trying to get in all the girls' pants? that's what bao was talking about. i think shondo was calling the dude who made the callout tweet against bao a groomer because in her mind, she sees the guy as siding with and defending people like that because that's the context of what is being said. this whole thing seems like a massive miscommunication in an online society that is getting more and more abrasive of anything that even remotely addresses women's concerns due to how much toxic feminism shit has been piled on us for the last decade.

@tomie what i'm saying is that there is a balance that should be struck, but because each side views what has been pushed upon them in such a visceral manner, they will push harder. in return, it gets even worse and then people push even harder.
@beardalaxy what balance can there be when it's millennia versus nothing, because women are oppressed worldwide and men are acting offended because women naturally choose the bear (but when a man says that he would too, they nod in agreement because they're all hypocrites)
@tomie honestly the whole bear vs man thing is really retarded to me lol, i understand the reasoning for both of them but it's a super vague thought experiment that feels specifically manufactured to widen the gender divide. it deserves to be reduced to meme status but people take it way too seriously.

this is what i mean. there is no context provided whatsoever in the thought experiment so you can't make an actual judgement call.
is the dude wearing a park ranger uniform at a national park? is the bear a black bear or a brown bear? are you lost in the woods or do you live there? is it day or night? are you on a trail or off the trail? are you actually in need of help?
all of these things would affect your decision making in the exact moment you would be seeing a bear or a man while you were alone in the woods. you would never get the opportunity to choose which one popped up, either.
some people choose the bear because in their mind, they have created a situation where the bear would be the safer option. other people choose the man because of the exact opposite reason... their imagined situation is different. but it just gets boiled down to "men hate women so women choose bear" and "women choose bear because women hate men." it's extremely unproductive and retarded.
@beardalaxy the context is not necessary, an animal is unable to hold you in contempt and fuck you over simply because fuck you that's why, and a man is able, therefore the man always presents more danger than the bear, no exceptions, it's not even an argument or a thought experiment, it's just a fact
