I know it's shit, but should I learn node.js? Every other sever-side solution seems to get the same amount of hate and I really need to put more shit on my resume so I can have a decent job once I graduate.
@nerdman I realized that none of the programming work I done over the years is resume worthy. I mostly did a bunch of gamedev stuff and there is no way I'm getting a gamedev job where I'm living.
The only other things I did was web dev stuff. Last time I did it, I used PHP but that is increasingly becoming obsolete. I need to get some sort of resume booster because I'm graduating this semester.
PHP obsolete? Huh. I just the other day killed 2 node.js apps with this PHP app I work with because my and my team can develop 3-4 times faster than the hindu node.js guys.
But yeah, PHP is looked down upon these days.

@caekislove @sukapon I find it weird that so many people refer to the entire Fediverse as "Mastodon". They don't seem to be aware that other software exists for the network.
IDK man. Lots of hindus like node.js. Might be good if you get a leadership role but if you want to compete for salary, probably bad from where I'm looking at.
