@Mr_NutterButter I don't think they're mascots. The software allows for custom voicepacks with some you have to pay for. They seem to be the most popular probably because they're free.

I just find it crazy that Japanese text-to-speech software has fictional bios for the voices they provide, but it's not shocking.
