RPG Maker’s official forums will shut down permanently on December 11, 2026.
@xianc78 @smugumin that's crazy! This is the third time an rpg maker website I've been on has shut down. Pretty sad.
Although I can see why it is happening, the series has basically shifted a lot of hands recently and for the latest entries the people who run the forums don't actually have anything to do with the devs. That pretty much stopped with mz in 2020.
That leaves RPGMaker.net as pretty much the last bastion for forums. I guess there's technically chaos project but that's a much more niche and old site. Everything else will probably be on the discord server or the subreddit now which is a shame.

@beardalaxy @smugumin Hopefully, there is still a portion of the userbase that prefers forums and would create an unofficial successor.
@beardalaxy @xianc78 @smugumin maybe it'll be like gamefaqs where they wiped it out because they were embarrassed by the years-old offensive content
@xianc78 @smugumin it looks like they are making a new forum but I haven't been able to go check it out yet. It's probably going to be run by the new rpg maker people. I know they had their own but everyone said it kinda sucked.
