Simply because that way, no oligarch would ever need to "employ" people again. You re-invented slavery with a one simple step.
@LukeAlmighty But if the means to create such people are widespread and/or it is cheap enough to buy such person than every naturally born human has the opportunity to become a small business owner using cloned slaves.
So all of you who voted would have side with The Master in the backstory of Mega Man Legends by cancelling the carbon re-initialization program even if it meant a permanent end to humanity.
