I mean, I'm not necessarily saying it's "targetted". Not like the artist is openly saying "I'm one of you guys, here's a present" (although I have seen some loli/todd artists on pedo instances, which is....Interesting).
In fact, I saw a short documentary on manga/hentai artists, and how many of them are basically forced into making loli etc... stuff because they know it'll sell, and it's the only way they can earn enough money. So I don't think it's about them being "corporate" or "non-stop shilling".
That's fair enough, I think the whole "me, myself, and I" thing is a good position. Seperate the artist from the viewership.
However, there still is that grey area, as with most things.
