I made the mistake not too long ago of assuming that if I didn't say anything really wrong, then it was fine to put the majority of my posts/replies to public.

Of course, people ended up seeing my public replies to shit, then got involved in convos I was having, and all hell proceeded to broke loose.

I think I've learned my lesson in that regard? Maybe? Perhaps?
