There's something off about the current narratives regarding the shooting in Minnesota.
Putin might have calculated that de-coupling with Iran and leaving them exposed would actually benefit their position in Ukraine. They've got all they need from Iran anyway.
Israel expanding their conflicts will mean requiring more Western (primarily American) equipment (especially Patriot systems that are used to counter Iranian missiles).
That equipment will therefore not be sent to Ukraine.
We have already seen signs of this even before Israel's strike on Tehran via Hegseth recalling smaller anti-air missiles (70mm AA missiles meant to take on Shahids/Gerans) for Ukraine.
As I pointed out in a seperate post, Russia actually on the whole sides with Israel over Iran.
Partisan Zionist types and blind AoR supporters can't aknowledge this because it dispells their own narrative (Ukraine + Israel vs. Russia + Iran/AoR). In fact, once again, it's rather curious that Zionists/pro-Israelis and pro-AoR/Iranians share the same opinions, isn't it? Almost as if they're two sides of the same coin...
The only thing Russia has done recently is to "condemn" the Israeli attack on Iran and "call for a resumption of negotiations", even though this has also been done by many states which are generally anti-Iran as well. In a sense, this was just standard international politicking.
When you read between the lines, you see that Russia is positioning itself (to the Americans especially) as an interlocutor that can help bring Iran + AoR to heel. They had an agreement (with even Assadist support) with Israel where they'd allow Israel to go on the war-path against the IRGC/Hezbollah in Syria. They're now trying to negotiate with the new Syrian administration which is obviously anti-Iranian. Putin said that Israel has a right to defend itself after Oct 7th.
More recently, Putin said that Russia would never allow Iran to build a nuclear weapon. Furthermore, just days ago Putin even offered to take all of Iran's enriched Uranium as part of a "nuclear deal" (highly sus tbf given Putin's constant nuclear threats).
Furthermore, as the guest on this program points out, Russia got the designs for the Shahid drones long ago, and produces modernized versions of them (under the name Geran-2) in large amounts. While Iran has sent some ballistic missiles, the numbers aren't that great, and Russia also produces large amounts of them themselves. Iran has basically lost leverage to request Russian support, which is leading it to be abandoned.
Finally, just rationally speaking, Russia clearly can't afford to fight a multifront war at this point, and neither can Iran. Both states have an interest in de-coupling in order to focus on the near-issue (Ukraine and Israel).

The only AoR groups that are worth anyone's time at the moment are Hamas (primarily) and the Houthis (to a lesser extent).
This is because both organizations have the balls to tell Iran "no" when they disagree. Both follow a sect that is not tied to Twelver Shia Islam (Sunni-Salafi and Zayidi). Both are far away enough to act independently when they want to.
Hezbollah only developed raisin-balls recently after their leadership was obliterated. They have said that they will only militarily respond to Israel if they are directly attacked.
They have only offered Iran symbolic support, and this is extremely ironic because, even when compared to the Iraqi PMU, Hezbollah was THE MOST PRO-IRAN organization of the AoR.
Hezbollah sacrificed their legitimacy among Sunnis by their actions in Syria defending their Iranian supply route (Iran still tries sending supplies via Iraq through Syria, but the new Syrian government keeps intercepting shipments), forever tarnishing their image in the Arab world (they went from hero to zero), and their position now is that Iran essentially abandoned them so they're sitting this one out.
For some ridiculous reason the Iraqi PMU forces decided to attack Syrian Transitional Government border security forces yesterday evening during the Israel-Iran tit-for-tat.
Israel is attacking Iran, and how do the AoR types respond? By attacking Sunnis in a nation that just got through an almost 15 year civil war.

It's all they have, and corporate bigwigs know that, which is why they exploit it *slaps head*.
If the companies paid a living-wage, then there'd most likely be more regular citizens applying to work there, duh.
This links-in neatly with the "right-wing" focus on campaigning against increasing the minimum wage. "Right-wingers" refuse to pay their workers more BECAUSE they want to exploit migrants.
This whole problem was understood by both Obama and Biden, who recognized that the focus of ICE should be placed on arresting the (corrupt) owners of the big farms who are the ones exploiting people and breaking immigration law to a greater extent.
Think of a bathtub filling with water. Do you bail out the tub with a bucket, or do you turn off the tap? Obviously you turn off the tap.
Tl;Dr: It is "right-wingers" who support mass-migration of low-skilled workers so that wages can be depressed and the rights of workers (undocumented and documented) can be denied.

On the surface, this sounds good. Obviously diplomacy must be considered.
However, it presupposes that "the other side" is sincere.
If "the other side" is insincere, then there's no point in "talking" with them. In fact, the very act of "talking" with them plays into their hands, as they can stall for time to take further advantage of the situation and may even split their opposition.
This is the exact thing Putin has done and continues to do, and yet Diesen doesn't seem to get it, in spite of it being all but obvious to everyone (regardless of which "side" you're on) now. Putin is relying on "can't we all just get along?" guys like Diesen as a foil against a strong, united European position.
Naturally, the only thing that will convince Putin to become sincere in "talks" is a reversal of one kind or another. One could see signs of this when he called Operation Spider's Web "terrorism", even though there were no (or next to no) casualties and all targets were military.
*The only civilians attacked were Russian truck drivers randomly assaulted after the fact by crazed Russians which Putin's cronies whipped into a frenzy.
Kiev, meanwhile, has openly stated that it is willing to have negotiations multiple times with very few immediate conditions aside from obviously an end to the fighting.
Every time Zelensky has proposed this, Putin hits back with a "we want to talk before we have a ceasefire", which is the complete opposite as to how actual lasting peace negotiations work if you respected your adversary enough to let them be independent.
Putin's idea of "peace" is "Ukraine joins the Russian Federation", it's quite clear. Therefore he has no desire to negotiate at all. He wants capitulation not negotiation.
Tl;Dr: You can only negotiate if you aknowledge that your opponent will still exist in the end.
OK, I'll give the Iranians a bit more credit.
One of their ballstic missiles scored a near-miss on an air defence system surrounded by residential buildings (HOOMAN SHIELDS!!!!).
Israel says they are not going to target the Supreme Council of Iran, they just want them to stop pursuing a nuclear weapon, and they recognize that only negotiations can succeed in achieving that.
Israel is asking Trump to bring Iran to heel.
America apparently intervened (again) to help Israel shoot down missiles and drones.
Very interesting political developments, imo.
Could it be that both Iran and Israel have realized (as I was saying in an earlier post) that they can't decisively defeat their adversary, because if they did they wouldn't have a reason to exist as they currently do?

My mistake, according to Israeli sources TP3 used around 100 drones and 150 ballistic missiles, so around the same as TP1 in terms of total munitions and slightly less than TP2 in terms of ballistic missiles used.
Israeli media reports 5 injuries, none life-threatening. All caused from interceptor fragments/shrapnel.
Iran is claiming (without evidence) to have destroyed an airbase in Israel and to have shot down an Israeli F35 over Iranian airspace and taken a female pilot prisoner.

So Iran has now officially launched "True Promise III", but it hasn't gotten off to a good start, imo.
Firstly, the total number of drones and ballistic missiles launched appears to be less than what was used in TP1 and 2 (TP1 = 170 drones, 30 cruise missiles, 120 ballistic missiles, TP2 = 200 ballistic missiles).
Second, PressTV is reporting that they have evidence of damage to Israeli cities, even though the still image they use (https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2025/06/13/749772/Iran-retaliation-Israel-attacks) is taken from footage of an Israeli interceptor missiles leaving behind a smoke trail after being fired towards the sky (see pics from BBC's live coverage).
Israel says that all explosions heard are from interceptor fragments hitting the ground or from interceptions in the air.
Even the BBC can't contain themselves and are outright trolling PressTV now...
Iran is a (bloated) paper tiger. They are holding the resistance against Israel back. They are dead weight. They can't even commit to TRYING to respond to an (ongoing) attack that (apparently) killed 70+ people. Even trying but failing would be better than what they're doing.
To Iran, maintaining their state control (and regional ambitions) is more important than defending Palestinians from ethnic cleansing (at the least) or genocide (at worst).

The Iranian establishment and their propagandists also talk a great deal about "Muslim unity", yet they are usually the first to "Takfir" other Muslims (usually Sunnis) and to promote Islamophobia abroad. Their propagandists in Europe, for example, promote the "Syrian/Arab refugee terrorist" meme.
Within Syria, they claim HTS (the new government) are Takfiri ISIS terrorists, even though AQ (who Sharaa claims to no longer be a part of anyway) and ISIS are fighting each other all over the world, even though Sharaa is attempting to foster actual interfaith unity (I know it sounds crazy, but it is what it is), and even though Hamas (a Sunni group who Iran vociferously supports) offered congratulations to the Syrian people for overthrowing Assad.
Iranian propaganda, much like Russian propaganda, much like Israeli (Likudnik especially) propaganda, much like Trumpian propaganda is being exposed in real time.

By supporting Russia even after it's become clear that Russia does not want a ceasefire and actually wants to prolong the fighting in Ukraine?
*As an aside, Russia has stated in the past that it supports Israel over supporting Iran pursuing nuclear weaponry, so it's hilarious that Iran still is lockstep with Russia at this point.

None of these countries' governments genuinely want (or even have a way) to end the war(s) they're fighting because, if they ended them, the population would turn their attention to the corruption and mismanagement at the top.

The Russian establishment must understand that even if they achieved total conquest of Ukraine, they'd be faced with an insurgency (Chechnya, but an order of magnitude worse given strong European support) for decades and decades.
The Israeli establishment must understand that, even if they ethnically cleansed Palestinians from Gaza (and even the West Bank) and annexed those territories, that would also serve as motivation for continued war(s) against Israel (similar to how Palestinian groups operated out of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria for decades).
