@shebang The US has plenty of issues of its own, but still, it's much better than Canada is at this point. I don't have much hope for the future of the US, but, I don't have much hope for any country's future at this point.

@shebang I wholeheartedly hope Wexit ends up happening. At least that might save part of this country.

Where do you plan on escaping to?

@shebang Canada is beyond salvation. Trudeau being re-elected is proof that even if there was some slim chance of saving it, its people are generally too stupid, apathetic, or simply brainwashed by mainstream media to take that chance.

@hj Such a beautiful dream. Don't we all wish we could experience such things in life? Someday, it can become a reality.

@matrix Not a bug, it's a feature. Making the people who contribute the most take on the majority of the financial burden for the benefit of people who are contributing less is in line with socialist belief.

@ZW748VSJSiwWMNBxyz@neckbeard.xyz @histoire@neckbeard.xyz I feel like it would have been much more enjoyable if it would have been more focused on either being a lighthearted comedy, or being a dark comedy, or being serious. It suffers from extreme tonal whiplash - it jumps from jokes about child soldiers being used as suicide bombers to "Haha, look at how the silly nazi is dressed! Isn't that goofy uniform dumb?" to "War is hell, look at all the chaos and death, look at the fear of being caught in the crossfire of a battle", all within a single scene. It tries to be lighthearted and goofy, and dark and edgy, and serious and dramatic, all at once - it pulls itself in too many directions, and I think that ends up making it fall short in all of them. It could have been more serious and been great. It could have been more comedic and been great. It could have been darker and been great. But instead, it tried to do all of those things at once.

@NeoAJ Your mistake was sitting outside the house of the lord. You're welcome inside his home, but his yard is off limits. That way, you can never leave without trespassing.

@matrix If a man does anything effeminate, for any reason, ever, he is trans, no matter what he identifies as. Even characters who explicitly state that they identify as men, like Astolfo and Felix, are actually trans women. Only ultra masculine dudebros are allowed to be cis, and they're actually all just closeted homosexuals, because being ultra masculine is pretty homoerotic.
