The true master chief realizes that if you burn any food enough, it will all taste the same. I call this the "carbon effect".

@augustus @shmibs it's at best a back-handed "compliment" to BLM riots if (and I do mean if) the only reason there was a net less covid cases is because it heavily dissuaded normal people from doing normal things that happen to spread the virus more.
>masks don't work
>masks are mandatory
>anti-vaccine protesters are helping spread the virus with their gatherings
>BLM protesters actually slowed the virus down by attending demos
>the real pandemic is racism

how the fuck is any sane person supposed to make sense of any of this
invidio.us is shutting down as of September 1st. If you have an account there, you'd best migrate to another instance before the month is out:

@mewmew @icedquinn @purple @wolfie That’s just you moving the goalposts on your definition of government. People pooling resources doesn’t magically make a government, a tax apparatus, authoritarianism, etc just appear.

A business isn’t a government. A community isn’t a government. People agreeing to follow a particular set of rules or guidelines isn’t a government. You can’t just stretch the definition of government to mean any two people with similar interests or problems is a government. The people in my apartment building all have a vested interest in it not burning down and that doesn’t make us a government.

A government, means authority. That’s the crux of the problem with government, it claims authority over people and in the absence of that power its merely a collection of people who might want to keep their houses from burning down. Not remotely the same thing.

@mewmew @wolfie @icedquinn @purple Honestly, this entire discussion is hammering home my opinion that all government is a doomed, nonsense proposal that only serves the purposes of select elites and the rest are just tax stock.

anarchism

I wonder how much further anarchists would get in conversations if we responded to the question "So you want chaos then, huh?" with "Yes" instead of "Anarchy means no rulers, it doesn't necessarily mean no rules"

Embrace the chaos, fuck it.

Whether you like or dislike Trump is not relevant to this story - the point is that online resources like twitter and facebook can not be both platforms and publishers at the same time - they have to treat content fairly and equally or lose their 230 protection.

I no longer use facebook, twitter, or youtube for any publishing of my own (having since switched to smuglo.li, bitchute, gab/dissenter, and my own site) but I'd like for people to have a wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to exercising their right to free speech without fear of being shadowbanned, restricted, etc.
