A global language MUST come about, since english is already the language of business, it is logically the best choice. English is not superior to any other language and has flaws like any other language, but I'm not the one who set up the current state of affairs. Regardless of which language is chosen though, a global language MUST be instituted, otherwise we will continue to flounder as a species.
@Jazzy_Butts english already is a mix of a bunch of different languages
@Jazzy_Butts English is too fucky as is to be universal. Lead and lead are spelled exactly the same, but have different meanings and pronunciations. Same for read and read, but that's just different tenses of the same word. It needs a rework to be less fucky before it could really be global. I mean, octopus has three separate plural forms, and they're all both correct and incorrect. Octopi, octopuses, and octopodes. We need to get our linguistic shit in order.
@Sudodeme Yea tbh it'll probably be a mix of languages that gradually blend together as people do. English is filled with french words for this reason.
Actually I just realized the global language will be a portmantu of many different languages
