@sandy Irrelevant to this question, but yes he is attracted to some people who have traits he likes who happen to coincidentally be children, but no he is not attracted to them because they're chileren, he doesn't even see them as chileren but as young adults. Chileren are not attractive to him.

@Jazzy_Butts "pedophile" is used colloquially as "child rapist" and "child" is used colloquially to mean "anyone under the age of 18" but the actual definition for
"pedophile" is someone who is attracted to prepubescent children. there are other limiting factors to it iirc, like there is an age gap as well so a 14 year old can't exactly be a pedophile for being attracted to a 10 year old or something along those lines.
if an 18 year old was forced to go to a therapist because he had a 15 year old girlfriend and his parents or whatever thought he was a pedophile the therapist would probably just send him away because that's not what pedophilia is. it's not even a 40 year old guy being attracted to a 15 year old girl. not recognized as a mental disorder, although it could sprout something else if it causes enough distress to him like anxiety/depression. obviously, if he acts out on that attraction then it would be considered child abuse... but still not pedophilia by the books.
