it def can produce too much energy at times, and the side effects of insomnia are pretty awful.
i take R-ALA to combat the oxidation that causes brain fog, and a sleep aid for the insomnia. works pretty well once i fine tuned everything.
it helped me get to a reasonable weight but it also permanently killed any feel of hunger

that anti-hunger effect eventually did go away for me but it took months and months.
until then i just kinda had to.. force myself to eat when i knew i needed to. 😓 i can see how that wouldnt work for a lot of people tho

at least with me, i would start to feel sleepy or bitchy when i was hungry, even if my stomach didnt tell me it needed or wanted food…

these days, with no tolerance, cannabis is extremely powerful for me. its like fucking LSD with how much it changes my perception. i cant do it anymore unless im reserving 4 hours to be out of commission 😖 and even then its usually just a bad time of paranoia and racing heartbeat.

@mario @Jazzy_Butts that’s one positive use i can vibe with. when i worked from home doing sysops for a place that generally gave me high degrees of freedom to do my thing, it was super relaxing to hit the low THC, high CBD vape and just zone out to writing documentation or planning presentations~ :NekoHug:

Still somehow got through school well enough to get my qualifications even though I was high all the time (like I prerolled four joints every morning to smoke on my way to school, two for each break and one for my way back home)
Kinda surprised how well it all went considering I got big on benzos and opioids during my finals

@Jazzy_Butts @mario thats been my experience, yeah. shit was much more mellow when i was a daily user. i wouldnt say the memory and cognition side effects ever went away though. i was a fucking retard when i tried to work while using it. took like 10x longer to do problem solving, and the awareness of that slowness made me anxious that people would know i was on drugs. no bueno 😓
i just take pharmaceutical anxiolytics like baclofen these days. its weak enough to not build a horrible benzo tolerance, and does enough to calm my high strung intrusive-thought-having ass the fuck down in a pinch.
glad that cannabis can work for some people though. wish i could use it.. it smells so good and the ritual of it is aesthetic af! 🛐
