@beardalaxy Just like youtube, facebook, tiktok, twitter, every major site on the net, that's life, and I'm sure they do their best to handle that because I have never seen anything like that on pawoo
@beardalaxy I think what's happening is pawoo is a victim of mass trolling, people are basically trying to get the site shut down because "loli bad", that's what I think. Pawoo doesn't have the staff to deal with this like fb or yt does. But I still haven't seen anything bad on there, I don't look at reports though so idk what goes on.

@sarvo @Jazzy_Butts originally pixiv owned it, then it got bought by russell, now it is owned by the same people who own mstdn.jp which funny enough has a similar problem, though not as widespread.
@sarvo @Jazzy_Butts that is to say, pawoo has always been owned by companies. it's not a hobbyist thing.
@Jazzy_Butts i'd say that was the case if it wasn't an ongoing problem over an extended period of time. perhaps what is happening now could be a mass troll, though. they're botted accounts so it's likely that's the case.
i think pawoo should probably shut down their registrations for a little bit, just in general. it would be good for them.
to exacerbate the problem, pawoo is a japanese site and thus all the moderators are going to likely be japanese. it might be hard for them to follow threads of english users to the point where they are able to catch stuff more often.
@Jazzy_Butts i've never seen any on youtube, facebook, twitter, or anywhere else. i know it exists there but i've never seen it. on the other hand, we've had several reports of pawoo users uploading it and apparently there is now a problem where bots are signing up with cp profile pics. i know other instances have also had problems with them and that's why they have blocked them.
it's mainly english speakers that do it. the japanese audience that is there seems to be just fine. i assume that is the major reason we don't block pawoo, because there are far more legitimate artists and just regular people there than cp posters. but pawoo gets a bad rap for a reason... it is by far and large the instance that has the most cp posted onto it, at least these days (i'm relatively new to the fediverse so there could have been something worse at some point).
there is also a slight chance that pawoo actually had their domain suspended a little while ago due to the cp posted on it, although it could have also been the uncensored hentai since it is still based in japan.
