Yes, BVS was a point of no return, since they jumped to the "endgame stories", while also not having developed characters.
And from there on, they were kinda trapped.

@LukeAlmighty @Loki They probably thought the characters had enough development culturally, cultural saturation might be a good term for it. Blue Beetle is new (new version at least), he's like spiderman, and he's Hispanic, and if you learned about him from Young Justice then he'll be familiar, he has potential to be a good character.
@Jazzy_Butts @LukeAlmighty ye i get the whole "were skipping origin stories bc you know them" part but they couldve atleast given them their own movies so the audience can get to know the new iteration rather than jump to the finales
