God is like Superman (fictional). Now that that's out of the way my post.
If God chooses to keep himself hidden from us because he's bored or he hates us (or herself), then I hate him...But if God is actually not abandoned is, if he's doing something like holding the world up, and that's why he can't visit us, because if he stops then the world ends, I don't hate him at all and sympathize with him.

I hold a programmers view of God.
If 1 is a good life, and a 0 is a bad one, then even if god has a plan (wants a calculation to be successful), that doesn't mean, that your happiness is part of his grand scheme.
