@KobraArcane @luciumferum Without capitalism every artist would be paid fairly what buyers were willing to pay, with no mercantile middle man class to buy a good for as cheap as possible and then sell it elsewhere for as much as possible, the mercantile class must by necessity exploit both the worker and consumer. Merchants act like they're serving a valuable service at a fair price, but that's a trick, for them to make a profit, which is their goal, they must exploit, profit requires non-equivilance, 1 hour of labor is not being tradded for 1 hour of labor, one lb of potatoes is not being tradded for one pair of shoes, a scammer is traveling between poor communities, one that has all potatoes and one that has all shoes, and he scalps a pair of shoes for more potatoes than they're worth, because the people are desperate, and so are submitting to exploitation, rather than die from their feet falling off, and then he takes the potatoes to the community that's starving and scalps them above value for more shoes than they're worth, rinse and repeat, add generational transfer of wealth, and you have a new system of slavery called capitalism where the slaves submit themselves because they've been tricked into thinking they're not slaves.

Think about it this way, if you had all your needs met fairly, you would be as rich as the next rich guy, we'd all be rich guys, none of us would be mega rich, and none of us would be poor, but isn't that good? It's demonic to take advantage of other people, it's what employers do to employees in a capitalist system, a for profit system, either the worker is getting screwed, or the consumer is, someone gets fucked in capitalism, by definition. That leads to shit like people not having the ability to, uhh, draw porn because they have to stress about getting paid because they need to get paid to eat, where in a fair system, a system not based on profit but on equal exchange, that stress would be minimized, because unless you're already RICH your life would be easier, and if you already are RICH you have so much that you could lose more than half of it and still not be able to spend all your money. A billionaire would have to spend $27,397 a day, to spend their entire Fortune assuming they live to be 100. Fuck that shit and fuck that shit's supporters.
