@Sudodeme I hope to one day know enough about Spanish culture to wear a sombrero without it being racist because I know the history, traditions, and origins of such a hat, I would not be wearing it as a joke but out of sincere respect. Weaving is hard as fuck.

I showed someone I trusted my Jazzy identity, and they gave me such a backhanded compliment. Out of context it might not seem bad but there are things I'm not telling you. Trust me. It was a jab. They said something akin to "I could never be brave enough to say what you say", and out of context it doesn't look that bad, but trust me, it translates to "You're a joke to me, you're a fool, a moron, and I would never be as stupid as you in a million years."

The fucked up thing is This Is America still feels so fresh and relevant

Imma watch The Blue Beetle, I'm not Hispanic but I'm Hispanic passing and so I never get mad about Hispanic representation in media, because I can self insert no problem. I'm actually learning Spanish so I can go fit in one day maybe. Would be cool to be surrounded by people who look like me and like anime, so they don't look at me like some freak who doesn't belong without even getting to know me.
