Are narcissists actually just retarded people with bad vibes?

Imagine being so rich you can just get up and go make a vlog essay about going to each state just to take a dump in every state. Your goal will be to defecate in every state of your country. Any order. No other rules.

On the one hand narcissists are a risk to be around because they're pieces of mind gaming shit
on the other hand
They literally have a mental illness and are not functioning normally

So I go nc and then feel bad, how do I stop feeling bad? Is that a dumb question? Is feeling bad what makes me a non narc? So even when we win, we lose? Seems kind of like the narcs are gods curse on earth, or gods joke, because no matter how much they "win" they can never appreciate it, it will never satisfy them.
