@captain_arepa @ube You laugh, but these mud pits hold the very essential clay deposits for our communities. You see, we don't have easy access to pots and pans like you westerners do, so everything needs to be made out of clay. Once every year, a traveling potter would come, dig up the clay deposits and take requests from the commoners about what pots to make for them. And then, all the pots are fired together in a large communal bonfire where a feast takes place. The traveling potter becomes the honored guest of the feast. When it's over he is rewarded with a keg of beer and two large bags of flour, before he continues on his journey to the next commieblock microdistrict.
